Wait a minute ...
Initial tests for the disease, according to government scientists, were "inconclusive." In other words, so far there is no new case of mad cow disease in the United States.
Why the USDA chose to make this matter public at this point defies explanation. Why panic people when you don't even know if there's a reason for panic?
Such boneheadness is symptomatic of mad scientist disease. Or maybe it's just budget time in Washington.
Oh...and cancel that repent order.
