The Kerry Doctrine
During a CNN interview this week (via the
NY Times), John Kerry was asked what he would do differently in Iraq if he were president.
Since the beginning of his presidential campaign, the generic Democrat has viciously assailed Bush's Iraq policy, recently declaring it the greatest foreign policy failure of his lifetime. Now the big moment had arrived. John Kerry was poised to announce how he would take the fight to America's terrorist enemies. This was his chance to dramatically unveil what history will surely label as "the Kerry Doctrine."
[Drumroll, please] The senator's response to the CNN question:
Right now, what I would do differently is, I mean, look, I'm not the president, and I didn't create this mess so I don't want to acknowledge a mistake that I haven't made."
